the roll weather rolls -- weird weather continues. let's get a check on the forecast with storm tracker meteorologist shiri spear here to start our day. good morning. >>shiri: hey, good morning, you guys. still 54 degrees in boston. starting off mild there. worcester at 54 degrees. the in between, 30s in bedford and norwood. 44 in lawrence. 49 in plymouth as you get up this morning. there is, again. kind of this cool trend that we stick with through 7 a.m. we have a lot of 40s on the map here getting you into work this morning so 7 a.m. temperatures. let's think 40s. let's think a little bit of patchy fog and sunshine for the day ahead. at noontime up around 60 degrees but you will notice a discrepancy of temperatures at the coastline and further inland. coastline several degrees cooler and temporarily peak at 60 degrees. i have a feeling see a lot of upper 50s. 60 to 6 for highs. cooler at the coastline fwhawvs

surveillance video. the couple was on their way home on a doctor's apartment and caught between two cars that witnesses say were racing. dennis and his 8-month pregnant wife britney were driving when their car was slipped. surveillance cameras at the car dealership caught the car flipping into the air. dennis fell out of vehicle. until police arrived. the owner of the dealership said the couple were in the wrong place at the wrong time. >> the car driving and the of two them racing. that's what it seemed like julie julie both dennis and britney taken to the hospital with serious but nonlife-threatening injuries. the family tells the tv station that the baby was delivered and is doing okay. not saying what if any charges will be filed against the car that hit the couple. a major murder trial on the north shore resumes. the trial for a danvers teenager accused of murdering his high school teacher has

been on hold as doctors assess the mental capacity of phillip chism. the 16-year-old was ordered to undergo a second evaluation after he was told he heard voices and came up with a suicide plan. the prosecution thinks he is faking it. he is accused of killing his teacher colleen rit zerk in 20 teacher colleen rit zerk in 2014. a father of two was shot and authorities are searching for the gunman. a one was shot just before :30 last night. witnesses tell fox25 the victim was walking to his car to get diapers for his daughter at the time. neighbors heard six shots and two witnesses tried to help the victim while the hospital arrived.they tried to give him cpr and deep him alive, but they took him away. >> the victim lives in the building with his wife and two children. police are not commenting on the man's condition. a trouble a troubling situation on the cape. the medical examiner is working

to determine the cause of death for an infant in sandwich. emergency crews responlded to call of a unresponsive child at a home around short way. the child was taken to the hospital but pronounced dead. dcf is looking into allegations of abuse and neglect of the 1 of abuse and neglect of the 1-month-old. the district attorney's office says does not appear to be any signs of injury or trauma. a toddler is recovering this morning from a dog attack in fall river that happened at a home on orange street. a large pit bull grabbed the 18 -month-old girl's head with his mouth and the family friend saw the good thing. >> a good seven minutes that dog had the baby's head in the mouse. lacerations from here to here. the ear was pretty much severed the ear was pretty much severed. it was awful. >>julie: the baby lost a portion of her ear and had lacerations to the skull and face. neighbors believe that the dog attacked out of jealousy.

fall river animal control took the dog from the home. the first time presidential candidates can file to get on the ballot for the new hampshire primary. republican donald trump is expected to file his papers and pay the $1,000 fee at the statenow concord. democratic long shot martin o'malley will travel to concord. 17 major party candidates are expected to enter the race. the deadline to file is november 20. the date for the new hampshire primary has not been set yet, but will be in february. big surprises on election day in the hub. the two longest serving members on boston city council have lost their seat. last night counselor charles yancy conceded defeat. much of mattapan and dorchester much of mattapan and dorchester. victoria campbell beat him. she was just a year old when he took office. >> this vote shows that we are not focused on the past. we are looking to the future. >> i think you think they are, but not for the positive train control. the t has a quarter million hole in next year's budget. >>daniel: the fiscal control board is hope board is hoping to borrow some money from federal programs and also on a deferred payment plan with the private company that will be installing that equipment. a fight between brothers in canton turns deadly. the fight led to an hours-long standoff we covered as breaking news all morning yesterday. police responded to a call on washington street just before our 4 a.m. newscast. they found one brother stabbed. he is expected to recover. the suspect larry king jr. held police at bay until he was finally taken into custody. he also had a stab wound and later died at the hospital. a lawrence high school football player faces gun charges this morning after police found him with a weapon on school property. officers were investigate officers were investigating a possible fight between two groups in lowell and say 18-year-old luiz krispin had a gun in his pocket.

when they stoppeded him and his friend they found this loaded pistol on him. he pled not guilty to a list of charges. he will be back in court november 20. a disturbing incident for a man in medford. a woman gets into a middle school and police are still looking for her. this woman entered the side door of the mcglen school during lunchtime. officials believe she stole $8 officials believe she stole $800 from four teachers' purses while the classrooms were empty while the classrooms were empty. the superintendent said school staff did not follow security protocol and changes are being made. >> there was someone at the door who checks people coming in and the middle school student was coming back from the outside, and just walked in with them. and that person should have been stopped and wasn't. >> the woman told a second school employee she was simply looking for a pen. if you recognize her, you are asked to call medford police. police in worcester say a teenager tried to run over a police officer with his car. officer jeremy smith saw 19-year-old connor davis

yelling at employees at a burger king drive through. when the officer approached davis, the teen tried to hit him with his car. davis is charged with assault and intent to murder a police officer and will be held until he returns to court on monday for a dang usness hearing. a memorial for a murdered new hampshire woman has disappeared. 62-year-old 62 denise robert was shot and killed in august while out for a walk. neighbors say a cross and flowers placed along the manchester street where roberts was killed has vanished. the fbi confirmed that federal agents have joined the search for her killer. so far no arrests have been made. a gravestone found far from the cemetery. coming up at 4:30, the spelling mistake that landed this marker miles from where it belongs. and homeless citizens attacked with bb guns and rock attacked with bb guns and rocks. the young ages of the suspects who are now in big trouble. but first fox25 storm track but first fox25 storm tracker weather meteorologist shiri spear following a potential record warm-up. >>shiri: warm temperatures for

28. 19 minutes on 93 south from 49 to the leverett connector. 9 minutes on the expressway from the split to the exit for the pike. meteorologist shiri spear joining us now with a look at today's forecast. nice out there this early hour. >>shiri: 54 degrees in boston. you really can't beat that, clear skies. things look good. things feel good. but the clear skies permit comes up. 6 a.m. temperatures a little lower. 52 degrees. i will hold us there through 8 a.m. lots and lots of sunshine in the city. 10 a.m. temperatures 57. 9 at noontime today. and a little bit of a struggle to get into the 60s in spots like boston today. because it is a little bit closer to the coastline versus somewhere like lawrence now -- oh, this is worcester at 54 degrees. notice that there, too, we continue to drug toll warm up. lawrence take you there because 44 is the temperature now. you will see a better warm-up

than what we get at the coast than what we get at the coastline. 46 6 a.m. by lunchtime into 60s and move into the low to mid-60s out toward the merrimack valley. i know it is a little weird to talk about know because we are talking about very warm weather but it is typical to get the first 10th of an inch of snow in the month of november. average first time we see it november 28. last year it happened on november 27. and last year we got that first of snow in worcester november 14. we are talking the time of the year where now we will see high highs near 0 but a potential for things to cool down in the coming weeks. putting it out there. 70 on thursday. 73 degrees on friday. we can call this an indian summer if you want. we had our first frost and now well above average temperatures and temperatures come crashing down into the weekend. 59 in boston. lower 60s from beverly up to portsmouth, new hampshire to plymouth. you go a little bit further

inland away from that beach freeze and here you see the mid-60s in norwood, bedford, lawrence, fitchburg at 56 degrees. cooler at worcester at 62 in the cape today. and likely in the upper 50s once you hit the afternoon hours. futurecast feature futurecast featuring a futurecast featuring a ton of sunshine. thin clouds moving in across the cape. i am going with a mostly sunny forecast for us all, and then overnight, we will see lows again dip into the 40s. another quiet night. check out these highs for tomorrow. this is the first of the 70s here as we move toward the end of the week. 72 in norwood. 70 in lawrence and in nashua, new hampshire. 71 in fitchburg. boston 67 degrees. because we have all this warm air going to be moving in. i am going to keep your thursday forecast dry here as we get into the afternoon. but during the overnight hours along with the warmth comes more moisture and we will see morning hour. this is friday at 7 a.m.

not a whole lot of wet weather. it is very widely scattered. and even in the middle of the day, not all rain friday, but the middle of the day the clouds break apart before batch number two of the showers come late on friday. this also going to allow us to see another warm day as the cold front haven't traveled through yet, but as that cold front does come through over the weekend, you are going to see temperatures drop significantly here. thursday night into friday, there are your rain showers. on saturday, 62 degrees. on sunday, 5 2 degrees. even though it is the cooler day of the weekend, i do see more sunshine in your sunday forecast. you can see specifics, lower 50s in beverly. 50s in beverly. worcester at only 48 on sunday with the nice bright skies that continue into early next week but a gradual warm-up through the 50s monday into tuesday. back to you guys. 4:20 right now. a new stumbling block into the investigation of a sunken cargo ship.

in massachusetts. in a few hours we are expected to learn more of the death of a illinois police officer that sparked an intense manhunt. police are expected to get more information and they are expected to confirm that police lieutenant joe glenowitz took his own life. in september he radioed in he was chasing three men and you cut off communication. later officers found him dead. officers say he faked the call and took his own life. scientists are getting closer to figure out what caused a e. coli outbreak at chipotle. more tests needed to be done to find exactly any matches that will indicate the ingredient that carries the bacteria. so far 37 people have gotten sick. chipotle has temporarily closed dozens of stores in washington and oregon. and food-borne illnesses like those caused by e. coli are on the rise in the united states.

food borne illness outbreaks in the u.s. in the past five years. that is more than double from a decade ago. cdc says wider food distribution and better reporting of outbreak contribute to the spike. >> whatever lessons are learned in an outbreak can be put back into the system so that best practices can be developed. >>daniel: the fda is set to release new nationwide guidelines for food safety. after that food supplies will have one year for them to take effect. ohio voters have spoken and marijuana will remain illegal for now. the bill would have allowed both medical and recreational marijuana but grew criticism because only allowed ten farms to own marijuana. one of the investors said to make millions if the bill had passed is former '90s boy band nicholas lachay.
